Yoga Policies & Procedures
Registration Policy
All students must complete a registration form before participating in a yoga class.
Payment Policy
The scheduled fee must be paid before the commencement of the class. Students will not be able to participate in the class unless the monies are paid.
Refund Policy
Scheduled Fee - A scheduled fee will only be refunded if:
- The student has fallen sick or injured during class; or
- There is a genuine family emergency. Examples of emergencies include but are not limited to: your child or a parent has been admitted to hospital, or a partner or sibling has fallen sick at work; or
- A student has provided another student with support as a result of an unforseen illness or emergency.
Late Arrivals to a Yoga Class Policy
Students who arrive late to a yoga class will not be admitted. Thoughful Actions yoga classes are quite intense and it is important that students participate in the breathing and warm up exercises that are programmed at the start of each class. The breathing and warm up exercises are an injury preventive measure.
Injuries and Illness Policy
Students:
- who have an ongoing medical illness or injury must obtain an Australian registered medical practitioner’s consent before participating in any Thoughtful Actions yoga class.
- are to advise the teacher at the start of the class of the current state of their illness or injury.
- who are injured during class will be asked to cease participating in the class. Either an ambulance will be called, or they will be taken to a medical provider, or advised to receive medical advice before continuing. Such students cannot return to practice until they have a registered Australian medical practitioner’s consent.
- who have a recurring injury are requested to manage their exercise regime and not place undue pressure on the body part that is sensitive to movement.
- are to use props to support any recurring injury.
Duty of Care
In the interests of all participants, a student who attends a class and is intoxicated or in a frame of mind that could cause injury to themselves or another student will be asked to leave.
